Created in 2017 by the Île-de-France Region and with an annual budget of €1 million, the Regional Fund for Emerging Talent (FoRTE) aims to support young artists as they embark on their professional careers, helping them to develop their first projects and promote creativity in the Île-de-France region. Since its launch, FoRTE, a unique initiative of its kind, has already supported more than 360 artists in all artistic fields (performing arts, cinema, music, and visual arts). Each year, the winners in the visual arts category benefit from an exhibition of their project created thanks to FoRTE, at the Réserves of Frac Île-de-France.
The 2025 edition continues the major development begun the previous year, spreading across all floors of the Réserves, and offers a unique dialogue between the works of the FoRTE award-winning artists and those from the Frac collection. This expanded display allows links to be forged between different generations of artists and explores the resonances between emerging creations and works already part of the collection’s history.
This new edition is characterised by a wealth of artistic approaches, ranging from sculpture to artist’s books, immersive installations to video, and sound creation. It reflects the way in which artists tackle contemporary issues – memory, ecology, digital technology – to create sensitive worlds. The works on display invite visitors to explore the links between past and present.
Whether reactivating memories, questioning our technological dependencies or imagining other forms of coexistence, the FoRTE#7 promotion, in dialogue with the Frac Île-de-France collection, demonstrates a bold creativity that tackles current issues. Through the diversity of perspectives and practices, this exhibition celebrates and promotes the emergence of art in the Paris region.
