Alexis Guillier – Neverland

Opening on Wednesday 4 October 2017,  from 7pm to 9pm

Conference / talk – Neverland at 7:30pm

Through his illustrated conferences, films, texts and installations, Alexis Guillier composes narrative assemblages blending very diverse documents that coexist in the story but rarely intersect.

His topic areas relate to questioning the circulation of images and cultural productions, reverberations and recurrences, the development of the imagination, interaction between individual fiction and collective stories.

Alexis Guillier is specifically interested in the falsification, deformation and the disappearance of works, filming accidents and ghost ships. The transmission of these accounts questions itself, remaining ever on an uncertain line, between detached subjectivity and documentary lyricism.

Alexis Guillier held conferences and took part in exhibitions at: Centre d’art image/imatge – Orthez (2016),  Opéra – Palais Garnier (2016), SeMA – Seoul (2016), Palais de Tokyo (2016, 2012, 2010), Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers (2015), Onde – Vélizy-Villacoublay (2015),  Cneai – Châtou (2014, 2013),  Biennale de Belleville (2014), BAL (2014), Walter Phillips Gallery – Banff CA (2013), MAC/VAL (2013), Bétonsalon (2012), Fondation Ricard (2012),  CAC – Genève (2011), Piano Nobile – Genève (2011),  Musée National d’Art Moderne – Centre Pompidou (2010). His conferences M for Mondrian and Artless were transcripted and published by BAT publishing house.
