Telephone operator Céline Ahond has a message for you

Richard Fauguet, Michel François and Allen Ruppersberg – Works from the frac île-de-france collection

Opening on Wednesday 3 february, from 7 to 9pm.

For this new window display, Céline Ahond has devised an audioguide around a selection of works from the collection of the frac île-de-france. To listen to the messages she has left for you, please dial the following number : (+33)1 40 88 66 70.

Ahond’s work plays on the gaps between images and text. Blending various types of narratives, the performances she has been making since 2003 take the shape of commented slide projections or walks in which the landscape becomes the image the audience is encouraged to explore. Whether in the public realm or in dedicated art spaces, the act of speech, for Ahond, is a way to trace the path of a thought under construction. Remembered anecdotes, the reality surrounding us, and the micro-events unfolding in it are described, framed and recounted so as to compose a narrative of the everyday.
